Midnight Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream

This batter is simply delicious, the perfect amount of chocolate. The recipe uses bittersweet chocolate, as well as dark cocoa powder. Then before the batter goes into the oven mini chocolate chips are mixed in.
Topped with a very simple vanilla buttercream. Nice and light, and never too sweet. It doesn't overwhelm the cake at all.
