Poppyseed bars are made with a less sweet cake batter essentially, but you save half in the bowl, and first put the sweet poppyseed cream on top, with the other half of the batter on top of that, then bake the whole thing.. follow me? Then these were glazed with lemon juice mixed with confectioner's sugar. If you're a poppyseed fan you will like these.
